Our Story
Nova Distribution Group was founded in Vancouver in 2008 by industry veterans who saw an opportunity to build a different kind of distribution company — one focused on genuine sales partnership rather than just moving boxes.
What started as a small team of five sales representatives calling on natural food stores in the Lower Mainland has grown into Western Canada's leading independent B2B sales and distribution organization. Today, we represent over 75 brands across all major retail channels.
Our growth has been built on a simple philosophy: treat every brand like it's our own. We don't just take orders — we actively sell, advocate, and strategize alongside our partners to build lasting success in the market.
Our Journey
Robert Nakamura launches Nova Distribution in Vancouver with 5 sales reps focused on natural foods retail.
Opened Calgary office and warehouse to serve the Alberta market. Added conventional grocery to our channel coverage.
Reached 25 active brand partners and 1,000+ retail accounts across Western Canada.
Third office established in Edmonton to strengthen Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan coverage.
Launched dedicated convenience and gas channel team, adding 500+ new retail accounts.
Now representing 75+ brands with 45 sales representatives and 2,500+ active retail accounts.
